Southern National Speedway (200 Lap LMSC) David qualified on the pole. Thirty four cars started the event. David lost the lead on the first lap but regained it on lap 20 and led every lap until 177 when a lap car spun directly in front of him. David hit the lap car head on and the 2nd place car, Deac McCaskill, hit David from the rear. |

Atlantic 285 at Southern National Speedway After the OCS race was rained out, David got to Kenly just in time to qualify (no practice). His first lap on the track was his qualifying lap. He qualified 3rd and finished 5th. |

Auction LMSC 100 at Southern National Speedway David qualified 4th and won the 100 lap event Friday night. 26 cars started the event. |

| September 27-29, 2002 | Taco Bell 300 at
Martinsville Speedway David captured the pole, out-running 112 other drivers for the top starting position for the biggest Late Model Stock event of the season. On Sunday, he was running 3rd at half way and felt he had a good shot at the win after the crew made adjustments to the car. However, on lap 147 he developed a problem with a valve stem which caused a flat tire and lost laps in the pits. He was able to make up one lap and was running 12th when he slowed to avoid a last lap wreck at the checkered flag and got hit from behind just short of the finish line before finishing 14th. |

Southhampton Motor Speedway's OktoberFAST 450 David started and finished 18th. David fought handling problems all weekend only to discover a rear end problem after getting the car back to the shop on Monday. David qualified 22nd, requiring him to run a heat race. He finished 2nd in the heat race to earn the 18th starting position. |
| October 27, 2002 | Bailey's Halloween Classic
at Orange County Speedway David qualifed for the pole and lead 185 laps. Lap traffic shuffled the leaders and David finished in 3rd place. |
| November 9, 2002 | Bailey's Hometown 300 at
South Boston David qualified 7th (out of 75 cars). He was running 7th and felt really good about his chance for a win when he slowed to miss a wreck on lap 59 and was hit from behind and taken out for the day. Although the finish was not what they would have liked, the team was well pleased with David's showing especially considering this was his first race at South Boston. |

Myrtle Beach 250 David had a good run at Myrtle Beach this past weekend. He qualified 6th out of 83 cars and finished a strong 8th. |
| December 1, 2002 | Bailey's Thanksgiving
Classic at Southern National Speedway The car was off the whole weekend to fix a problem that was never found. David had to run a heat race and made the main event after finishing 5th in the heat race. He was involved in a wreck around lap 60 and could not continue. |
